Venue

The conference will take place in the Carmelite Monastery  Burgstraat 46, 9000 Ghent, Belgium. Entrance to Het Rustpunt is Burgstraat 116. 

COVID-19: This conference will be held in person. We are cautiously optimistic however, we will remain attendant to the changing situation in Belgium and follow government guidelines.

How to get there

From Brussels Airport – Zaventem 

By train – Brussels Airport-Zaventem station is located on level -1 of the terminal, at a small distance from the arrivals hall (2nd floor) and the departures hall (3rd floor). The travel time for direct trains to Ghent is 54 min. 

From Brussels Airport – Charleroi 

By bus – Nine times a day a shuttle bus travels between Charleroi Airport and Bruges via Ghent. The bus service is offered by Flibco.com. The bus stops at the back side of the Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station. The bus ride takes about 90 min. 

By train – With a combined ticket, you can take a bus transfer outside the terminal to the railway station Charleroi-South in 20 min. From there, a train ride to Ghent takes approximately 90 min. 

From the main station Gent-Sint-Pieters

By tram – Take tram line 1 (red), direction Wondelgem or Evergem

Trams from Gent-Sint-Pieters depart from a terminal next to the station (at your left hand when you come out of the station). Hop off at tram stop Gravensteen.

By taxi – Taxis are to be found immediately at your right hand when you come out of the station. 

On foot – you can opt to walk into the historic centre, which should take a good thirty minutes.

Accommodation

Our venue, the Carmelite Monastery, is located right in the historic centre and offers accommodation options as well. 

Should you wish to stay elsewhere in the historic centre, we recommend the Hotel Gravensteen or Hotel de Flandre
